GES declares today holiday for schoolchildren
All schoolchildren are to stay home today, Thursday, 7 March 2024, to rest after Wednesday's 67th Independence Day activities, the Ghana Education Service has declared.
Pupils and students take active part in the Independence Day march past and other patriotic activities.
A statement signed by Ms Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Head of the Public Relations Unit of GES, said: “It is announced for the information of all schools and the general public that Thursday, 7 March has been declared a holiday for all schoolchildren in Ghana".
"School resumes fully on Friday, 8 March 2024. All parents and guardians are, therefore, to take note.”
