Akufo-Addo to launch smart schools project today
The Akufo-Addo-led government is set to launch the ‘Ghana Smart School Project’ initiative today, Monday, 25 March 2024.
This is in a bid to enhance e-learning and digitalisation.
The initiative will be launched by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and is geared towards bolstering Senior High School Education by providing Teaching and Learning Management Systems, Digital Learning Content, and Electronic Devices to all Senior/TVET schools across the country.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Education, signed by its Spokesperson Kwasi Kwarteng, ahead of the launch, indicated the initiative aligns with the Ministry’s “digitalisation agenda for pre-tertiary education.”
It also “supports government’s goal of leveraging technological advancements to prepare Ghanaian students for the fourth industrial revolution,” the statement revealed.
